Privacy Policy

• Account details — your email address (used to sign you in), the display name you choose, and optionally a profile photo and favorite plant.
• Your activity — the plants you log and the dates you log them, which power your weekly count, streaks, badges, and charts.
• Social connections — friend requests, friendships, and challenges you create or join. If you invite someone who isn't on Veggiesh yet, we store the email address you enter so we can connect you once they sign up.
• Meal photos — if you use photo logging, the photo is processed to identify the plants in it. See Meal photos below.
• Device tokens — if you enable push notifications on iPhone, we store a device token from Apple so we can deliver them.
• Login codes — a temporary 6-digit code tied to your email, which expires shortly after it's sent.

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and we don't collect your location.

We use the information above only to:

• Sign you in and keep your session secure.
• Track your weekly plants and show your progress, streaks, and badges.
• Let you connect with friends and take part in challenges.
• Send transactional emails (login codes and friend invites).
• Deliver push notifications you've opted into.

Photo logging is optional — you can always add plants by typing. When you do use it, the photo is sent to our AI recognition provider (Together AI) solely to detect the plant foods in it. Only the list of recognized plants is returned to the app.

We do not store your meal photos. The image is used to recognize plants and is not saved to your account, kept on our servers, or used to identify you.

We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. We rely on a small set of service providers that process data on our behalf so the app can work:

• Vercel — hosts the app.
• Neon — hosts our database, where your account and activity are stored.
• Resend — sends login-code and invite emails.
• Together AI — recognizes plants in photos you submit.
• Apple — delivers push notifications to your device.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at support@veggie.sh from the address on your account. We'll remove your data promptly. Login codes expire and are deleted automatically.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Veggiesh isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
